Innovative ideas, new perspectives and knowledgeable industry professionals. This is what makes up the CHBA-NS committees. Committees allow members to make the most of their membership and help ensure that the association is headed in the right direction. Joining a committee will allow you to play an important part in the association, and also provides invaluable networking opportunities with other professionals in the industry.

Technical Research Committee
The Technical Research Committee meets quarterly and examines new and emerging technical issues and challenges for industry and members. The committee deals with relevant reports about R-2000, EnerGuide, and other areas of interest involving new and existing technology.

Marketing Committee
The Marketing Committee meets every 1-2 months to discuss current events relevant to the industry, and to look at ways to help provide assistance to members, promote the association and raise the level of professionalism within the industry. Sub-committees include the Ambassadors Committee and Membership Committee

Renovators' Council Committee
The Renovators’ Council meets quarterly to focus on issues faced by renovator members, including workshops and courses required for renovators, tax credits and professionalism of those in the industry.

Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee meets quarterly to determine training options for members and industry to further raise the level of professionalism and provide continuing education opportunities.

Economic Research Committee
This committee looks at the housing and renovation data that is pertinent to the residential construction industry to help provide members with information that will be useful in their businesses.

Auction Committee
This committee meets on a monthly basis leading up to the auction. They are active in helping to plan and implement this important annual fundraiser for the association.
